JobSiteCanvas started as Applied Pest Solutions' answer to a problem paper couldn't solve, and grew into a tool for field techs everywhere.

It started with a simpler problem

Daniel Thornton has 20 years experience in the pest control industry and worked with other diagramming tools and found them limited. When Daniel started his own pest control business, he didn't want to go back to paper: hand-drawn structure diagrams, treatment plans, and state inspection forms filled out by hand, then re-copied, then filed. But he also didn't want the bloated, one-size-fits-corporate tool he'd used before.

So he built something better himself: an application designed around what a small business owner or regional operator actually needs in the field.

From one business to every trade

Daniel built the tool to run his own crews, and it worked. But as he showed it to other pest control professionals, he saw the same problem everywhere: small and regional operators stuck with paper, or with tools that didn't fit how they actually worked. That response convinced him the tool he'd built for himself could help a lot more people.

That's when he turned to his longtime friend, David Gilmore. David brought 25+ years of IT and cybersecurity experience to the table, and one key idea: instead of building separate versions for different operating systems and devices, build it once, as a SaaS platform, accessible from any browser, on any device.

Together, Daniel's field expertise and David's technical direction turned a personal tool into JobSiteCanvas.
